What to photograph
Daylight is best. Phone photos are perfect.
- the whole piece, from a step or two back
- the damage, up close
- for chairs, the seat from underneath
- any maker’s marks or labels you can find
Then add a line or two
What it is, roughly how big, what’s wrong with it, and where you are. If it’s a family piece with a story, tell me that too.
Not sure what it is or whether it’s worth saving? That’s fine. Most people aren’t.
